Shipyard and Maintenance
My passion for boating and an eager hands-on approach towards maintenance and the upkeep of vessels has contributed to the high and broad level of skills I have acquired through-out my yachting career. The drive to excel on all levels and to deliver a high standard of workmanship is the basis of my work ethic. Having a key eye for detail has stood me in good stead and made me a valuable asset to past and future employers on a global scale.
My solid maintenance foundation has been laid during my time employed at Maritime Ship Services, Antibes which is on the Cote D'Azur on the South of France, where I have found myself in the company of, internationally renowned yacht designers and high-end yacht clientele.
Daily maintenance tasks were performed in the interior, technical and engineering departments as well as on deck. During this time I regularly visited the Dominator Shipyard, Varno, Italy where I was responsible for the overseeing and quality control of new builds.
I then moved on to oversee the maintenance yard period onboard Sailing Yacht Aime Sea , a 115 foot Aluminium build Sloop in the Rybovich Marina, West Palm Beach, United States. I re-painted the engine room, the main and auxiliary engines, new floor boards were laid and an overall technical engineering list was completed.
A further yard project was onboard the 38 metre Schooner Kaori in the Rivergate Marina in Brisbane, Australia.
During my career I have overseen and managed the haul out and repair of several vessels in Europe, Africa, the United States and Australia. My practical insight and hands on approach is reflected in my ability to reach specified targets within specific time frames.
I am also a qualified varnisher and have worked onboard a variety of projects.
